Black History Month Spirit Days at LBHS
Black History Month 2023 at LBHS is a time for celebrating the achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in American History. There will be school-wide celebrations taking place throughout the month of February.
Spirit Days
- Week 1: Music and Art — DRESS: 90s Attire Friday (2/3)
- Week 2: Black Excellence — DRESS: Formal Attire; Dress to Impress Friday ( 2/10)
- Week 3: For the Culture — DRESS: African Print/hairstyles/jewelry or Pan African Flag Colors (red, green, & black) Friday (2/17)
- Week 4: Black Out — DRESS: ALL Black Everything Friday (2/24)
Lunch Activities:
- Week 1: Live Music and Art in the Park (M-wing)
- Week 2: Black Excellence Fair (center hall)
- Week 3: Face Paint (Friday)
- Week 4: Operation #goviral TikTok Challenge (Friday)
