Overview

The Building Trades Academy is intended for students interested in exploring the skilled trades associated with the building industry as well as Engineering and Architecture disciplines. Students begin exploration through general introductory courses.

Global Studies

Overview

LBHS is proud to offer the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate program to our students. This honors program is housed in the Global Studies SLC. Students in this program want to challenge themselves to be the best they can be academically. The IB program is a worldwide education program founded to give all students the opportunity to receive an education fit for a globalizing world. This program is intended to develop students’ intellectual, emotional, personal and social skills. It’s also a great way to get an edge for college admissions.

Law and Social Justice

Overview

Want to do more than protest? Want to be part of a social movement of justice, equity and leadership? Law and social justice leads the way with courses learning about the legal professions as well as law enforcement. We build leaders in LSJ that are community and equity centered. Want to shape the future and be part of a more just society. Join LSJ and be the change you want to see in the world.

Media Arts & Technology

Overview

This small learning community focuses on digital, video and mass media for a 21st century global community. Students in this SLC are able to take three Media courses that teaches students how to take pictures, videos as well as how to edit them and add visual effects. Students will also have an opportunity to produce an actual live TV show through our state of the art Titan Media Productions center. MAT is committed to developing innovative, empathetic, expressive, and technologically-savvy learners for the 21st century global community.

World Cultures

The World Cultures small learning community is designed to provide English language development, social-emotional support and a sense of community to newcomer students.
